Ill get one when I’m back not gonna get it done now today.Run the diamond core into a brick if you have any kicking about it clears the diamond and reveals sharp diamonds.
Get an old file and beat up the cutting face of the drill teeth with a corner edge of the file. It'll be off like a rocket again.
If you run your thumb along the teeth they'll be smooth and polished. Using a file to stress the surface will cause the blunted diamond to break away and expose fresh ones.

Can you explain in a bit more detail please Pete. How does the file ‘stress’
You really shouldn't be using hammer with a diamond core, just steady pressure, smooth and not too fast, the drill is your drawback.
You go slower as the core size increases you probably don't want more than 400rpm but you need power and a clutch unless you want broken wrists.
Anyone know someone local to London/Essex that could pop the rest of that hole through?
No, haven’t done a pilot as I didn’t have SDS drill. My old man has got one but it’s seen better days.have u drilled a pilot hole right through and cored as far as u can get from both sides
