Hi...I have been given a nice SDS drill...I have few SDS type drill bits but think its possible to buy a convert to a std type chuck accept ordinary drill bits.
I have several chucks that are quite some years old...prob from the 1980s they take upto 13mm bits and are Jacobs type make.
The internal thread on these chucks is approx 11.25mm across...not an accurate measurement and they have a fine thread...no idea if metric or imperial.
Whats the best way to find out what thread they are...I dont have much in the way of thread tools bar a tread gauge thats in with a box of metric taps.
Nick.
