I'm a bit confused too actually... as you move the belt down on to a smaller pulley on one side you're moving it down onto a larger one on the other side... every set of pulleys should need the same size belt?

Yes this was my thinking too. It’s how mine adjusts. 1 belt 1 size.

Mine has 3 pulleys I've got it working now and it does a lot better job now I think what has happened is that the wrong size belts have been put in

Upon close inspection mine is actually quite a bit faster than yours with speeds of 500-2800 rpm.
I always keep it on the lowest speed and have drilled more stainless than I care to remember with it so although going slow makes life easier it’s not essential. 500 rpm on mine does the job perfectly adequately.

So any where between 130-500 since I put the right size belts on its doing a lot better on the slow speeds

Obviously the 150 is going to be best but I drill loads of it on mine at 500 so ........

I'll have a look I've got a bottle of tapping cutting and machineing lubricant at the minute

That will do for pilot drilling. It’s a bit crap for opening up I find as it just disappears through the pilot hole and makes a mess.

It's in a spray can and when you you use it it foams up so its alright but when it's gone I'll get some of what you said to get

Im the only one that use krino drill bits?
I recently test this brand, i bought 4 and 6mm diamatre the 4 one have also a center point (hss co 8%) a littler tip on the bit, that it's like the half of the nomimal diameter, cutting oil and they works pretty well
8 euros for the 4mm one
