I've got some versadriv cobalt bits and so far so good but they should be for £19 a bit

If they turn out good if I buy a few I can get £7 off them just I only got two

These are them the hex shaft helps in my wornout drill chuck to stop it slipping

For that sort of money for 1 bit, I'd go and buy a full set of guhring cobalt bits. Or the dormer cobalt set 1-10. I usually buy my bits in packs of 10 as and when I see them at a good price. Just keep your eyes open.

Ouch, even for top-quality TiN/TiAlN coated cobalt I pay half of that!

All you need to drill stainless is a HSS drill, I only use HSSco for hard materials.

Seconded, slow speed, high pressure and a sharp drill bit will see you through 304 and 316.

Not impossible with sharp bits and plenty of compound or cutting oil but far from ideal.
150 would be way more suited.

I'll get some smaller belts for it and then I can use the slow speeds
