My guess is a spark erroder would do it BUT not sure it's cost effective.a completely irreplaceable lower control arm in aluminium.
ive bought a carbide end mill to try. worth a shot, anyway.
Which is a shame as its easy to make a part and let's the machine do it's job.you'd be right about cost effectiveness.....
Oh...well that makes an even bigger problem. In my experience you ain't getting that done with a pistol drill..its a horizontal hole in the aluminium lower control arm on my race car. the irreplaceable part isn't so much being able to get a replacement, but more on the likely impossibility of removing the part from the car without having to cut the subframe (a known issue)
look at post 7 bobCould this broken drill bit be knocked back out by drilling to it from the other side of the control arm ?
