As it says, I am looking for some help on drawing software that's easy to get started with so that we can produce drawings for laser / water jet cutting, its for a project my son and I are looking at, any help gratefully received.....
If you want to use the software for laser cutting as opposed to just CAD then you will probably need one that produces or is able to save in .dxf (digital exhange format) and these tend to be a bit more top end than some. I believe Autocad does and Adobe illustrator as well as Solidworks. I don't know about the others so maybe people who have can comment.
Personally I find that a program called Vector Magic is the most useful as it will convert files (and most usefully will do .jpegs ) to .dxf just by drag & drop.
