Hoping someone can help...
The spring assister for the handbrake is seized so trying to get the bolt that hold the lever on out...there's a threaded hole on one side and normal nut on the other
seems solid tho....I put a bolt in the threaded part to see if could get it to turn but it's not moving

from underneath....is there supposed to be a seal or something on the part where I've drawn the arrow? are they serviceable? The actual handbrake lever needs attention too as it's been forced against the spring assist...thinking it might be an idea to replace the whole handbrake/drawbar assembly

Replace the whole unit.

By the time you have messed about you will be spending nearly the same any way & then you get a new damper too.
