Hi all,
Recently I was given the welder pictured below - a Draper 150AT.
The previous owner had cut the leads off it so I have replaced them with two female dinse connectors on the ends of the existing leads.
Initially, When I used the welder it kept blowing the 13 Amp fuses I put in the plug so I replaced that with a 16 Amp plug and tested it out. I managed to use slightly less than two full 6013's before the thermal cutout tripped and I had to wait about 10-15 minutes before proceeding. This happened a few times.
Can the welder be saved from the scrapheap by replacing the cutout - assuming that is what's faulty?
Thanks.
