Whilst I have the thoughts of work that is pending in my mind, Id thought Id see what the knowledge base might suggest on this.
About 4 months ago I started to get intermittent issues with a sulphur smell in the house, drains have been in a couple of years prior and presented no issues, my first thought was the treatment plant was building too much sludge so I got it desludged, when the smell continued I tried extending the stack, still no difference, I then shortened the breather on the treatment plant as we do see a lot of wind and it was a possibility high pressure could build on the drains still no difference, Iv already got Air admittance valves on the main stacks but I added individual valves on most of the pipework encase individual traps were siphoning Iv checked the traps and all seem to have a good seal, main culprit seams to be washing machine although I can get a smell in the bathrooms, As I said its very intermittent and i am now drawing a blank of what to try next.
