this Dragbike frame is to hold a Suzuki GS500 engine and running gear.
And will be ridden by a friends Daughter when she is 16.
she rides this one now all the mods done by me including the aluminium bodywork.

Great work, keep it up, and don't stop taking pictures. Are you following your own design or copying an existing bike (or making it up as you go along)? And how are you notching the tubing?

Just noticed your PP is the piece on the front of the bike in the first picture (dunno what it's called).

It is a part copy and my design will have 73" wheelbase and clad with Aluminium.

yes that is what it is.

the frame is 25mm 2mm wall erw which will be more than man enough.
as early 80's 1000cc bike's where only 1.5mm erw and a lot less bracing than this has. (will have)

I reckon the water-cooled 2-stroke in the bike in the first pic will have more power than a GS500 engine...

I think the tyres, brakes and cheap suspension were usually the limiting factor on 1980s bikes, not the frame rigidity!

Mind you, a drag-racing 16 year old girl... you'd have to fight the lads off with a sh!tty stick!

the old Suzuki's where ok it was the Kawasaki that was the worst for being a bit wobbly in the corners.
this is going in a straight line. lol
the 2 stroke is a AR125 fully tuned they was producing 34bhp max this be lucky if its got 10hp keeps messing about.
it will rev nice then it wont go over 8500rpm will get a strip down and rebuild at the en of the year plus bigger carb and some porting work.

a few more tubes added today even took it off the jig and put it on it wheels.
then added the seat frame has 22" to seat base

That's really coming together, is there much more tubing to put on because to my untrained eye, that looks nearly finished.

just brace tubing to go in that 12 small bars then 2 cross braces.
can only put half them in till i get the engine in over the weekend.
