Not at all Henry. I’ve never worked for myself before.@Richard.fftopic: Up until now I though you worked for yourself. If I'm not to nosy, what do you do for Lorch
. All I can say is that 'Francis' is still going well. I have to say this quietly, if she gets to here that I am happy she might start to play up

. As the operating monkey improved his / her technique so does the end result. I have seen some welders get brilliant results from basic machines and can move from one machine to another, completely different and produce great results. I have five different types of machines and went out on a site where some guys were welding. Ok result but not good, they asked me can I improve their finish, I said I'll give it a go. Invertor just with some dials, did a run, just tweeked the wire speed and the voltage and presto great result. Now I had never used that machine before, however once you get a bit more experience and knowledge it makes it easier. I must admit I was lucky as I got it bank on just right. The trouble is that they were expecting me to do so. luckily I got it right and saved face. They now believe that I can do no wrong

@Munkul there are many machines on the market with that option, with varying degrees of success. It is still up to the operator to get the best out of any machine, regardless of brand. The best machine on the market will only go as well as the monkey holding the gun.
I meant the machines in MY experience, obviously everyone has various amounts of experience with different manufacturers. We have no problem walking the walk that’s for sure.^^^ Well then you would get to play with some fancy gear. Having the knowledge and experience then also to use it, well that is something that is severely lacking here, as I had found out. Not with all suppliers, but quite a few. They can 'talk the talk' but not 'walk the walk' shame though as this doesn't give confidence with the product
