I can't picture what you mean. The lip won't interfere any more than the edge of a normal frame as far as I can tell?

He's talking about non rebates hinges.

Not sure why as you've not stated your going to use them.

go to another door look how close it is to the frame you will find its mm

that lip is more defined than that so theres no way that door is going to open fully

Chop the hinges in as normal. So the leaves sit flush with the proud point.

No different to usual other than 70% of the hinge isn't rebated.

I'll be honest I don't find it that difficult.... The caveat to that is that I'm never in a hurry/under pressure and I have sharp chisels! I also find my die grinder and (more often) my power file useful for cleaning out mortises. Make no mistake though I'm definitely an amateur!

Me either.

Though 9 times out of ten il chop my hinges in with a laminate trimmer to a knife line. Quicker easier and neater. Especially with gnarly wood.
