door frame design? which approach?

I need to design some doors into an enclosed trailer I'm building and haven't done this before. Which design approach would be best here, to ensure it's waterproof. In either approach I'd be buying some form of plastic seal but I'm not sure which frame design to use to start with. So my question is:

a) which frame design to use?
b) what plastic seal type to use with this design? (seems to be heaps of types)
c) any implementation advice welcome

As an example here is a diagram of 3 types that come to mind. First with flat bar as door stop, second with angle, and third using channel...

Shipping containers use 'A' with a glued on flat neoprene seal.

B offers no benefit over A, it basically results in the same closure and A is by far the easiest.

And B will perhaps leak between the stich welds or distort along the length if it's a full seam?

If cars keep out water then the same type of seal could be worth considering and easily attached to A.

But have you owned a fabricated type car like a landrover and do you remember the cars of the 70 s?

C would be the most secure for anyone trying to pry the door as the gap cannot open sideways only outward, It would also probably be the most weather tight especially if you had a built in slope at the bottom of the channel directing any water outwards. and any seal would be protected in the bottom of the channel.

I'd run with a variation on A, but using a folded section rather than box and flats, then a push on D-shape seal.
