door alarm.

i need to source a domestic door alarm to warn when a domestic external door isnt fully closed:

specs:
will be fitted inside the house.
can be mains powered. no requirement for battery backup.
can be hard wired.
needs audible alarm "beep" approximately as loud as a lorry reversing alarm. this can be either on the door, or wired
at least one visual indicator along the lines of a strobe, or at least a standard 40w bulb (more than little led) which is in a seperate room.
switch controlled to be off/on (so hold push switch in, and alarm doesnt sound so door can be opened for visitors) - accessible from inside house, and next to door.

basically: exmrsegg is deaf, and a bit forgetfull.

she (and others) sometimes leaves the front door not quite closed.
obviously a security issue!
i need something that makes it obvious the door is open: even when she doesnt have hearing aids in.

any suggestions/recommendations.
budget up to £100, but ideally <£50

Only issue I foresee is that it will alert EVERY time the door is opened so maybe a dead man's switch sort of thing at the actual door to stop it sounding when answering the doorbell/knocker?

dont care if its a mechanucal or magnetic: although its a upvc door, so rim mounted, not mortised.

You could put something together with a few relays and some alarm system bits.
Magnetic door sensor &or microswitch to activate whenever the door is not shut.
Pressure mat on the floor to stop alarm sounding when a user is opening the door.
Small alarm sounder/bell and a strobe or red light.

You could then go old school with a few relays or digital with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi, that would allow integration with a delay then send an SMS, email or even a tweet to a dedicated account to show door has been open for (x) amount of minutes.

i already have a 12v 2a power supply, cable, and a reversing alarm from my transit.

Would an old-style ringing doorbell be a good sound source depends how loud you want to go? The trickiest bit is going to be setting whatever you chose as a switch to ensure it distinguished between fully shut(latched) and shut but not fully.

We have to play musical doors because of the hounds that dont get along, a door left open would end with a vets bill so i fitted hydraulic door closers. They are strong enough to shut a door and latch it.

she's got one.

the door opens outwards, due to needing room behind door for stairlift.

we got SS to fit the closer to stop it opening too fast if its windy.
her lack of strength makes it so if its easy enough to open, its not strong enough to pull it completely closed.

they wont pay for an electric closer: we keep pushing for it, though.
