No accidents in the last 25 years of building boats, rebuilding houses, bikes, cars you name it.....until today.
Grabbed hold of my new Bosch cordless jigsaw to trim a plank on the side of my ancient pickup. Hard up against some angle, knew it was the wrong tool, sliced a large cut in the bottom of my thumbnail and deep into the flesh.
Bleeding like a pig, throbbing like crazy.
25 years ago I bought a new ex display 9" grinder. Already had a disc, plugged it in, it was locked on, threw itself out of my hands and dropped running across my ankle. Ouch.
Since then I've been obsessively careful. The thing is, I bleedin' well KNEW it was the wrong tool (although it is a great tool). What a dork, eh?
