It kept me busy for a few hours. He be glad I am shot to bits when the ol swift is done

Table now complete. Not bad for a few days work. A light oil and find a spot for it to sit.

Seriously the times i have seen something that someone has attacked with a heavy wire brush in a grinder, covered in scratches too deep to get out.
I was offered a lovely bronze woodworking plane a couple of years ago made by Spiers, It had been "Restored", Aagh grinder rash all over it, absolutely ruined.
Seen it done with guns.
The worst was a you tube vid i saw a few weeks back, an american collector bought a rusty old Colt peacemaker, a proper relic, It turned out to have almost certainly come from the Battle of The Little Bighorn, as such worth a small fortune, So what does he do? Attack the serial number with a dremel to try & make it more legible......... On video too. Some people really have no idea.
