Doing up the bathroom, which PEX pipe brand would you recommend?

Most bathrooms can lay fracture matting the night before. Then layout and cut before mixing anything up for a couple of hour burst to set tiles.

My wrists have been hit hardest. 20 bags of thickset spread over 4 days

Non barrier is not suitable for any type of central heating

Again you have missed what I was talking about completely, I was talking about any issue relating to the type of pipe used.

The OP asked for any advice on their plan as a whole. I asked about the type of shower and hot water system because if they have an open-vented system and a pumped shower then their plan to tee off from the bath feed may not be the best idea. A seperate feed from the cylinder via a Surrey flange may be advisable.

I'd use 16mm pex-al-pex to be honest.... Anything else is junk in comparison imho

eurocones and the odd adapter will take care of the transitions. It's really far superior to 15mm PB pipe and speedfit style fittings. I'd say it's even superior to copper.

I buy all my pipe off facebook, most of it is wras approved and new... Leftover from UFH jobs. 70m of 16mm the other week for £5. I've got a second hand £100 press gun and buy new fittings.

What about fittings? Are these available? Or do you mean you use it for just underfloor heating?

I buy all my fittings from naturalgreenheat.co.uk - not that you need many because it's so bendable. I tend to just use couplers and the odd tight elbow. Mostly manifold plumb.

They're 'twetop' brand, polish I think.

Press them with U jaws. I use it for all domestic plumbing in my two properties.

Hep2o then speedfit.... dont mix and match... they do but but it invalidates any manufacturers warranty

Correctly installed its as good as any other method and a lot less work

Can get normal sized MLCP, Tectite so just need their fittings and it goes straight to copper.

Available next day as it is made in Yorkshire

I used to use it for secondary hot water returns, often needed to snake around and can't use plastic, also can't be arsed with 16mm pipe
