Dog toilet area?

One of our neighbours has Astro turf in thier front garden, something did it’s business on it but they never cleared it up, there is now a hole that appeared right in the middle of the turf

we had one bitch spaniel that given chance would squat in running water, sea river etc, other times if no water would stop 15 foot in front of me and make eye contact, apparently its a trust thing,

Packed Weymouth beach, middle of summer. We were on the dog section at the very end and our staffy cross decided to walk out into the water to about mid body depth, then walk parallel to the beach to the non-dog part where all the people were to curl one out. All the while he was looking towards the beach as if he was proud of himself. As soon as he was back we made a hasty retreat
