I used to have some big bottles (Oxy/Acetylene) that I was able to get replaced locally. that option is no longer available to me. I still have some oxygen but am out of acetylene.
I like to gas weld sometimes, and also do some heating and not very often some cutting. The heating is important, also the ability to gas weld.
I understand Propane is good for heating and cutting, but no good for welding.
My plan is to take up a hobbyweld contract for an Ultra acetylene. That will get me welding again,( and everything else too). But I thought I'd also get a propane bottle and use that for when I want to just heat or cut. That would reduce the Acetylene usage. I reckon I'd get through the hobbyweld bottle quite quickly if heating or cutting.
Does that sound like a reasonable plan? I tend towards very sporadic usage so I want rent free ideally.
Thanks for looking.
