I have the amps to max

For 1.5mm sheet, I usually set mine (the one with a built in compressor) to about 2/3 max amps which I find gives a narrower kerf and a cleaner cut with less dross at the speed that I move.

there are, but they arent of any real use...technique plays more of a role than having perfect settings...

Adjust one of the following,

Air pressure
Travel speed
Torch height
Current

Bottom dross is normally travel speed too slow relative to the other settings.

As above it could be technique which in this case would be torch height and travel speed, but make sure your air pressure is set with the air flowing, I probably set it to the max the specs allow and alter the other variables before trying a lower pressure.

Too high a travel speed could result in an incomplete cut and top dross, torch height too low can also produce top dross.

Looks fine for stainless, its never really quite as nice looking as mild steel

I disagree, cutting 1mm stainless here with the Parkside built in compressor jobbie was perfect and burr free.

will see if the filter thing helps, its really for just cutting non-straight lines as the metal circ saw is far better albeit much noisier

works fine for a while, might start charring after a while, but it easy does the job!
