Like others i have generally used clamps reversed with block of wood to suit, but if you want the exact thing for the purpose.
Plasterboard props
Use some screws.
Well yes that would do, but I was hoping for something very adjustable. A threaded tube with an Acme thread and a threaded rod to go into it with a Tommy bar. Plates each end. That is what I have in my head.
I use these for my boat bulkheads...just to prop while the adhesive goes off.
I'm very happy with them...the ends are on a ball joint which works for my application as I'm propping from the hull sides.
You can get mini acrow props...they're used for underpinning but are very heavy and not very flexible on height adjustment.
Perfectly good as a temporary measure while the glue sets. Then remove and fill the holes.Yes, but screws sticking out of the side of a boat are unsightly, dangerous and is the type of work I am eradicating currently!
Can't do tomorrow got a friend arriving for a couple of days.CT1 wants 24 hours to cure. I want to do some fixing of fuseboxes etc so it would affect the bond if I did it that quick. Unless you are suggesting a fast cure adhesive for wood to fibreglass?
I think that you should come up and have a look at the old tub. I'm going back up tomorrow,![]()
