I recently moved into a bungalow that was previously owned by a wheelchair user. The kitchen had been redone two years ago, in low level cabinets and is quite nice, however, it’s four inches lower than normal and a touch too low for comfort, so I plan to redo it. Does anybody ever use anything other than the usual fitted kitchens any more? Can you get kitchen unit’s that are not flat packed, screw together, whack a huge one piece top on?
Not too sure exactly what I’m thinking of, just something a bit different maybe.
Look for " Bespoke kitchen cabinets " in oak & ply , birdseye maple etc with granite/ slate tops . They are not cheap but being bespoke the guys who make them will tell you if what your seeking is realistic .
