Looks like some 'bidders' bidded 2 or 3 times in a row jacking the price up. Reckon its multiple users all in a scam hoping that eventually a member of the public will vote and get stuck with tat.
I remember a similar scam in blackpool, so called 'auction' houses where people would bid on a mystery bag and some guy paid £50 for some cheap earphones in a bin liner, BUT as the auctioneer made sure to shake the winners hand then it could be legally deemed to be an agreement which would give them a get out if the police got involved.
