does anyone know about e-cigs?

exmrsegg uses an e-cig.
she keeps dropping, and smashing, it (she's disabled).
to the point that replacing it costs her as much as cigs used to

so we have decided to buy her an indestructable one.

can anyone recommend one - or at least teach me something about them?

budget of c. £100, but that must include everything - including, if neccessary, spare coils etc.


i've been looking at an "Aegis legend 200w mod", for c. £50 + batteries, but i'm not sure what else it needs?

she only uses 0.3% liquid, and has a "1.2ohm" coil one at the moment. i have *no* what that means.

Cant help with a choice, but when you get sorted, isn't it possible to use a over the head lanyard to prevent dropping etc?

The cheep Power Supplies are good for smoking.
They catch fire.

Hi yes I see your problem but there is things you can do to help. 1.2 ohm coils are good for battery life but not great for flavour--- you need to use a good flavourful liquid if you want the benefits of good battery life. For the tanks I recommend that you buy rubber bands to protect the tank available online or at vape stores and completely cover the tank use 3 if needed. A good tank with replacement coils is the Prince tank by smok --some might say there is better but coils are available from most places. Hope this helps .

Haven't got around to buying it yet though.

Re mod. Will need batteries and a decent charger.
Probably has onboard charging but a dedicated charger and spare batteries are worthwhile and safer.
Nitecore chargers are top notch.

Will also need a atomiser of some description.

Resistance of the coil.
Seems to be a trend for below 1ohm coils these days.
I've been vaping on and off since the early days and never had issues getting dense flavourful vape from the 1.6ohm coil in my dripper.

Resistance of coils will depend on the atty you buy.

I use drippers mainly these days.
No glass. No tank as such but leaky and requires a bit of maintenance.
New cotton wool wick every week or so and a new coil/s every few months.
I wrap around drill bits.

Most tanks are 510 thread. Very few proprietary tanks on the market.

Spare coils will be available from that store I'm sure.
Coil specs given in the link.

tank. Should some with drip tip.
Batteries 18650 recommend Sony or Samsung.
Charger.

A dripper is best in my opinion for flavour and less stuff to brake as long as able to stand reapplying fluid every 5 or 6 puffs.
Usually all metal construction and can fine tune the resistance, flow and coils.

I used to use a smoant mod box and wondervape dropper and was fairly bullet proof.

Yep had a rdta before (smok skyhook) and was cracking bit of kit but had issues with the glass tank braking. So a full metal construction helped.

I’ve got an ageis legend and haven’t broken it yet despite many drops. Gone through afew drip tips and Pyrex’s mind from dropping the thing.
Fixing that problem though.
