Hi,
I've been an avid reader of this site for some time, but seeing as I just got a welder I thought I'd post the first of many questions!
I just bought a clarke 160 Arc welder. I guess that is classed as a cheapy on here, and was told by the guy who I bought it off how to start welding. He said alot of the stuff I have read on here, but one thing he said really supprised me.
HE said that when he welds he holds the torch bit and with his other hand he holds the STICK... now I can see how it helps maintain arc length etc. but surley he is holding a LIVE stick in his hand???!!??
Comments please gents.
