I'm not referring to designer stuff. Just ordinary frames.
£130 for a frame, plus £60 for high index (thiner) lenses as I need a high power lense . Otherwise they would look like milk bottle bottoms.
So that is £190, then I also need reading glasses
Hopefully a cheap plastic Richard Ossman/Buddy Holly type frame for £50 will have to do for readers, providing the edges are wide enough to grip my lenses. Otherwise I'll have to shell out for high index lenses in the readers as well.
I reckon the total will be over a quarter of a grand again this year. Plus the £25 cost of the eye test that I paid.
