Do my bushes need changing?

They look fine. but I'm not sure I should be seeing THIS much of them.


TBH I need to be droping engine/subby out at this point but I'm a bit stuck with location issues ATM.

In the meantime I'm trying to understand how this subframe mounting point was constructed. More so; how the inner tube was welded into place:




The buIges on both outer faces has me erring on the tube being inserted in the 'locating bowls' between the two outer sections, then closed up - but how the tube has been welded to either is driving me crackers

it'll be prob jst a couple of tack welds and rolled over......they never spend to much money on anything proper......lol......

Frank, it's from an era when flairs, platform shoes & strikes were in vogue --- And I always thought you loved a bit of German sourced tin

Found, through a friend, a guy in the Netherlands who was willing to give me the part for nowt! 8am in a hotel carpark outside Ipswich I met some folks and exchanged gifts - I got my 'holy grail', they received a crusty door (that may be confiscated at Customs back home).



On the return home I cooked my engine - swings and round-a-bouts
