This is the 2nd delivery ive had in as many months that has been damaged in transit. Its frustrating, as in both cases, when the damage occured, whoever was moving the job would have known they had whacked something with it.
I have recently palatalised lots of machinery for a customer, the pallet needs to be bigger than the total footprint of the machine, with a solid base.Kit like this really does need crating, the very process of palletised delivery means its loaded/unloaded numerous times and its never strapped down during haulage. In reality that damage could have occurred at one of several depots or by a heavy braker of a truck driver.

Is that how it was secured to the undersized pallet when it was sent?
From the picture it looked like the strap was over the guide rail for the fence as opposed to around the top of the saw.Standard way you would move anything like that - ratcheted down.
But... I don't think it's gone over at all. I think it's just been caught on somthing.
It's not my call though - I've sent the photos to the assessors, and they can work it out.

Puts all the load onto the adjusting screws.
But in this case it looks like the load has either shifted and the guide rail has hit another load or it was driven into another pallet.
