Costs about £150 for a day . Is that cheap? I want to be proficient and safeHi there, and welcome to the Forum.
If you know anyone reasonably close to you who welds, they might be able to give you a few hours of pointers & practice, then you'll at least know if you'll hate it, without having spent anything.
Otherwise it depends on the course ,and of course the price of the course.
If the cost is reasonable, I'd probably go for it.
But then that may be because I weld, and wouldn't like not being able to!
If I'd never welded before I might feel differently, but once you can, it's definitely a worthwhile skill to have - and it's quite addictive, too!
All the Best,
CJ
If you were a bit (quite a bit!) nearer- I'd get you up & running myself, (as have many others on here, I believe), so it's not such a completely ridiculous suggestion, as it may sound!
