Hi
New to this so forgive em if this is a simple question. I've bought a second hand MIG Welder Calrke 185T, which I'm happy with and get OK welds (so far) - still learning.
It came with an auto darkening Mask which uses batteries and seems to work ok, that is if I switch it, it brightens up so I can see and it seems to darken when I weld.
However after a weld there's brightness in my eyes, as if I'd been staring at a bulb. This goes after a bit but makes it hard to focus on stuff normally for a period while welding e.g. Changing Wire Speed, looking at weld.
I haven't done a lot of welding, and I don't get any of the symptons mentioned for ARC eye.
Is this normal? or is it due to a poor mask?
Thanks
David
