Metric or imperial into big issue here.

Left or right handed is not an issue.

Doing up.
Undoing.

On a serious note... I always thought that adjustable spanners (whether metric, imperial, left or right-handed) were the Devil's baby-gravy and should only be used as a last resort or quick-fix; one should use find and use the correct spanner. I only have one and that gets used more for holding sheet metal to bend it (got plenty use making that De Lisle horse's head) than on my nuts.

Theoretically yes. Have to admit they are much maligned, but when used properly when they aren't worn out, and used with in thier torque capabilities, they are actually in my experience no worse at rounding off things than any other open-ended spanner. Have more uses as well than just tightening and holding nuts.

Kin'ell you could have four complete sets of Stahlwillie or Snap On r & oj's & de bi-hex offset rings in BA , BSF , AF & metric for the price of that array of nut stranglers

Had a pal who being lazy was using a 12 " adjustable to heave the nuts loose on a military 10 ton lorry's towing eye . We heard a scream and Tony came out from under the chassis with blood streaming from his face .. the adjusters securing pin had fallen out & suddenly the adjustable opened up came off the nut smacking him in the mush .

yup same as, crack it with 6 point socket /spanner ,adjustable though is in truck for emergency break down as I only leave a few tools in there
