DIY welding table

This has been at least three years in the making, and during that time, it’s changed quite a bit. I finally got the parts laser-cut; I just need a spare day or two to throw it all together.
I realize there are 'welding tables' and then there are welding tables. To be honest, I never really needed this—for me, it’s just the fun of building things and playing around in CAD—but it will get used.

The pictures show it loosely mocked up to check that everything is there. I still have to break it down and do a little bit of prep work. There were some strange goings-on with two of the slots (see images); it won't affect the assembly, but I’m guessing the issue is in the drawing, so I need to check and correct that,I think I was a little too generous on the slot size to but it will be ok,

Total so far:
£306: Laser cutting materials (plus VAT)
£129.24: 7.6 meters of 80mm x 80mm x 3mm tube (inc. VAT/delivery)
£53: Caster wheels

I might knock up a 1x2 meter version using a thicker top and a smaller hole arrangement at a later date. We'll see.

Perhaps give thought to adding this to a newer bench ...

My top is 10mm thick I put my own 19mm hole for quick clamping in it by borrowing a mag drill and cutter from my pal . I also chain drilled and disc cut chopped and files a very accurate 110 x 10mm slot at a corner say 50 mm in from the edge ( laser cut would have been handy 20 years ago when I made the bench ) the slot is to tale a 10mm welded up T with small stand off's on the underside of the cross to allow tack welded in bolts to go through and not touch the bench . There is also a 20mm slot in the vertical of the T which is to allow me to slip it in the bench slot when mounted with a four inch record vice . The leg by the bracket has a 16mm bolt welded to it , so with a few packers ( turned on my lathe ) I can then slip the vice mounted on the bracket in the slot and tighten it in place with a socket on a tommy bar which lives in a bracket also welded to the same leg .

This means I can take the vice off in a few seconds and use my mounted ( mag drilled hole )old reclaimed /repaired industrial router under the top , then using clamps and a length of 15mm thick by 40 wide oak as a fence turn my bench into a routing bench .
When finished I vacuum it clean again and remount the vice. The router hole being blanked off with a purpose made round of Delrin to keep crap off the router .
