DIY Scaffold

I got a quantity of Kwiklock/Kwikstage scaffolding about me - orange painted stuff - done me well over the years - inherited half of it and bought in a load of extras - from an auction once.

None of it - including towers (and I got one of these - for access and painting) - are like having a proper scaffolder in and builiding it out of 2" tubes.....

yea i get that...when we have full re-foofs i call my scaffy in..3 sided wrap round on a semi or staging with access tower and we set our electric winch up.

@roofman - would not matter if it was "me and you"- doing a cash roofing job - you "are big" and I am old.

But if you got a few young lads about you - you/me should provide safe access to a job....! (we should it is the year 2026)

I've got a pile of this stuff. It's quick and simple to put up and with boards on top makes a great work platform for many different things. I do strategically position a couple of ratchet straps to it to minimise wobble, mainly from the bottom section.

Edit: This was a while ago in use for painting the new shed.

its missing the bottom 2 stiffener bars that have u channels welded to the ends and just drop over the bars near the wheels ,not fitted and it puts a lot of pressure on the slip joints

I have a couple of cheap nasty steel towers with adjustable feet. Handy when you need it.

First time I worked in the Far East it was Bamboo scaffold held together with wire!
