OK, time for some project planning.... one or two still to come
as finding a "cheap" 3phase polisher with a 220/440v motor is being a bit of a drag, I may just make one.... not really that complex.
as ever advice/suggestions are always sought from those in the know...so:-
the plan:- box section pedastle with plate & 2 pillow block bearings, double ended shaft, centre pulley to motor behind .... or maybe to lay shaft & motor near floor....depending on space.
2hp 3phase motor? big enough without being silly?
6", 8", 10" 12" mops? whats "best" or a "best compromise"
What kind of RPM to aim for? ( via inverter so some flexibility)
MAx speed if using a wire wheel?
main shaft size 20/25mm? larger? probably 150mm between bearings & what, say 150-200mm outboard each side to the mops? too ambitious ?
( guards for belts etc go without saying)
