Disposing of petrol

The local council tips don't take it. I have around 15 litres of it, mix of petrol, 2 stroke petrol and some bits of debris in it. Definitely doesn't want to be going in the car. How do you get rid of it? Sensible suggestions only please.

Mix in some oil and chuck it in the waste oil at the tip? They won't know.

If theres nothing else in it, filter it off with a very fine mesh filter and add a couple litres per tank to your car. 2 stroke mix burns fine I usually tip any excess from jobs into the bike.

It wont. Not all of it anyway. Theres about 100-200ml stale petrol trapped in my bike tank with a load of paint stripping debris which I want to get out before I paint it rather than after . Its been stiiting open for a few years.

I launch all the unknown and remnant fuels/oils in the red diesel tank.My lads are really wasteful with oils etc and I quite often find a pouring jug half full of an unknown lube/fuel so rather than waste it it gets chucked in amongst 3000ltrs of red, tractors and plant don't seem to mind it.

Local tip to me said to dump it in with the waste oils, that was years ago, I've never asked since so I chuck oil, white spirit, old fuel etc in the same tank
15L in one go does seem a lot though, maybe split it up with oil changes?

cheers all, I think I'll stick it on marketplace and see if it goes on there, failing that there are some farms and a tree firm not too far away, might see if they want it.

Metal bucket filled with sand.
Pour a couple of litres at a time in and burn it off.

It *should* go without saying, but don't pour more in whilst it's still hot.
