Disposing of a disabled lift

They haven't even taken the power supply from the adjacent overheads with a pair of crock clips. proper job!

Crock clips is over kill…..just bare the ends of the wires and twist them on to the existing supply cables….

Know someone who tried to get rid of a hydraulic wheelchair lift out of the back of a van, really heavy duty quality piece of kit, would have cost a fortune new but same thing nobody interested, ended up being scrapped.

Quite often when secondhand, CASE (Cover ****, Stay Employed) comes into play. So a company taking one out to resell will do a full refurb on them. Nobody wants to carry the can for Great Aunt Ethyl interfacing with gravity at a higher than expected velocity.

I tried to find one to fit on the drawbar of my little Erde trailer as a micro Hiab. Naturally there were none available!

It was hard work to find anyone who wanted a basic Stair lift when I was prepping an elderly relatives house for sale earlier this year.
The local estate agent put it up for free on their Facebook page, I listed it on gumtree marketplace etc and finally got £50 for it and that was I simple unbolt - transport - bolt it in place job.

Based on my experience I'd expect it to be difficult to find the right person to take this and professionals won't touch it due to the risk of being sued if anything on it fails.
By coincidence I saw an advert for something similar on TV earlier today.
