Hi folks
I have just used up my very first gas cylinder. It was a brand new disposable 110 litre Argon/Co2 bottle. I have done approximately 5 feet of welding with it on car bodywork and it's empty! Is this normal? If so, this is going to cost me a fortune. I bought the cheap standard reguator for the cylinder which has no guage. I just opened the regulator to its maximum when I was using it. Is that too much? Should I turn the gas pressure down a bit? It's very hard because there's no guage to give an idea of gas output pressure.
I also have a big professional BoC guage that came with the welder as it was originally used with those big bottles from BoC.
Any advice?
