Dishwasher problem

Thanks all,now solved,got home tonight,wife had plugged it back in,and it fired up,

Well folks, I pretty much echo what @nickk posted, with a slight difference. She played chief engineer, got the thing out into the middle of the kitchen, dismantled it and cleaned it's innards, reassembled it and it reset itself back to normal. I have no idea what she did, but it works.

I on the other hand find myself in the dog house wearing the "useless" label.

Sadly, I need to join in, our trusty Samsung dishwasher finally succumbed to it's constant overloading and threw in the towel on Friday. The error code is "LC" which, after a bit of research means it has a leak and is filling up (it isn't of course) but if you unplug it and leave it, even overnight, when you plug it back in it springs into action unbidden and starts to pump water out that is not there. I am led to believe it is a sensor, does anyone have any experience of these?

My alternative solution is to replace it but she fancies a Hi-Sense machine and I have never heard of them, who is behind this company, does anyone know?

I’ve just read your wife has fixed the dishwasher, but this may be of use to something. A friend had problem with their machine not draining properly. Apparently a solution was to tip it towards you, and voila, whatever caused the problem fixed itself. Some sort of “known” fault, apparently.

It wasn’t a permanent fix, but it allowed them to stave off buying a new dishwasher for a full year.

Ah! You have the privilege of hosting a Tokoloshe too.

Once No 3 son reached 18 and left home ours seems to have emigrated.
