I honestly think it handles well driving normally, i do always make sure I'm at an appropriate speed going round corners/roundabouts though.

I don't think the police will be liking me driving with a mangled wing tomorrow lol.

i would suggest you make sure of no sharp edges gaffer tape etc make it look a bit more legal

remember 6 points on your licence means you lose it and have to retake the test

might be better to get someone to take you and not use the landy

I've chopped off the bit that's sticking out,
just looks like a hole in the side of the car,
i want to take it so they can just give it a once over and see if there's anything else that's damaged, it was mechanically sound when i drove it back home but best to make sure.

there is a yard a right by me im going to check first, I doubt theyre going to have one though.

if all you damaged was panel work you did not hit the wheel there will be nothing wrong just get a wing unbolt the old one offer it up and see what you need to bash it back into place

Have to wack the mount back to straight and sort out the fixings, it only got a small chunk broken off it so its good to bolt back on.

Theres a jawel paint place by me, so im going to get a can and spray the thing the same colour.

Was lucky I didn't get stopped, police car stopped next to me on a roundabout but didn't seem to care.

New drivers need all the help they can get. Having a huge vehicle, with poor brakes, poor steering, poor handling and which was fundamentally designed for off road use just doesn't help.

My first car was a '54 morris minor (this was in the late '90s)

Im told that the reason i no longer have it was that there was an accident. Apparently, once they cut me out of the wreck, i spent a couple of weeks in hospital too.
My first memories are from a while after i left hospital. Kind of waking dream, or dreaming i was awake - recovering from that kind of head trauma is about the oddest thing ive done.

It it had have been a modern little hatchback, with crumple zones, air bags, and, of course, seat belts, id have been able to walk home.

(but i think id have been ok in a disco too, to be fair!)

Yes, the chances are that you'd have walked home. Of course, you might have been going around 10x the speed - i.e 70 instead of 7 - resulting in a slightly harder impact!

Sorry not changed one but it looks as if the inner wing needs a bit of work to get the outer wing fitting better, hows the shut line at A pillar ?

Its the same as the other side along the a pillar, just a little out on the edge of the bonnet, which was the only place it really bent, i think that pic is before i loosend the screws and pushed it in a little more.

Few minutes gentle work with a lump hammer will sort it

Thanks, I was trying to get it in without opening the bonnet

Painted it up, not the best job but it'll do, looks better than white (panel isn't actualy on in the photo, just sitting there)

Had to bolt the bumper end through into the bracket, the moulded in fixing snapped off.

I do fancy building a steel bumper though, I don't really like this big plastic thing.
