Unplugged the rear wiper and the fuse doesn’t pop

will remove the arm as once I have a few quid my disco is having a severe diet

also pulled the horn push out and fixed the terrible bodge someone had done tried to mastic the earth to the steering wheel nut...

I would think shaft is seized (they normally are).

Give it good soak up in WD40 - then power it up see if it is free.

On the D1 we had the cruise stopped working with a perished pipe as @CompoSimmonite says

Next thing to order is a set of lock springs, another common failure. Cost pennies but make a difference if the old ones are tired. The first one will take ages and by the time you get to the last one you'll be doing it in minutes

Has it got all the seats in it? Whats the roof like? Eldest has an old 300tdi Auto he drives round the field but it's got no rear seats and the roof is beat up.

I have 7 mint seats the rear bench and dickies will be available and the roof lining is in good condition although sagging a little

mines a twin sunroof model although they have been sealed up

Roof is OK, not sure about the seats. I can take some snaps of it if you want, carriage may present a challenge, not so sure they make jiffy bags that big or whether you have posties like Geoff Capes

Get my engine up and running and ready for install and I can probably ferry it back when stuff settles down at this end of the country.
