This didn’t work for a couple of years, as my battery was old and tired. Now I’ve got a new battery the motor is turning itself off at the first stop, 500 yards away, even on cold mornings. I always thought the motor had to be up to a decent temperature before it did that. Stoping and starting a cold motor is hardly clever, no idea how they decided this was a good idea.
If I remember, I can press the button, every trip... but is there some way to permanently disable it? Google tells me nothing.
Is that normal or is something else wrong? Ive not driven many cars with stop start but none did it before the engine was starting to warm up, warm enough for the heater to produce heat.
