Din wiring connectors

I've got a couple of projects that require reasonably complex wiring, well I think its complex

I think it'll be easiest and neatest to use din connectors on a rail as I also need 3 relays in the same enclosure, I was wondering if the connectors are usually used with one wire in and one out using link strips across the middle to make blocks of terminals?

Hopefully this makes sense?

its best to use one conductor per terminal then use jumper strip to common blocks together.

if its only small stuff you can put a couple into one bootlace ferrel then crimp but that makes fault finding harder

They are very good. You can get multi connection units and if you have lots to build spring contact ones you just shove the wire in

I tend to use Entrelec or Weidmuller your local electrical wholesales will carry them, don't go for the "selection" box, you end up with a load of unwanted sizes

I tend towards Weidmuller top-hat rail terminals and Omron MY2/ MY4 relays...

The first project has taken a back seat for the next few weeks (it's combined central heating and solar hot water controls, using the boiler and rads as a heat dump to stop thde tank overheating in the summer) My mate was getting a new roof and the job grew to completely gutting the entire house and I've been roped into re plumbing it, not helped with the house being a 220 mile round trip....

I hope he is paying you well, I have a small domestic installations business running at the moment and I generally do not work outside of a 30 mile radius...and even the outer edges of that 30 miles is only really jobs for friends

I designed, built, installed and commissioned the radiation warning and interlock systems used by Saudi Aramco at 4 of their facilities in the Eastern Province.
We used Weidmuller terminals, Omron relays, Mitsubishi PLCs, Rittal cabinets... and a dozen years later they're all still going strong - never had a service call, which is just as well, if you've ever had to drive to Udhailiyah...

It'd be fantastic if you had a very fast motorcycle, there was no wind-blown sand and all the camels were chained up. Oh, and there were no Saudis on the roads
It's basically a two hour drive down an almost straight road through nothing. If I had to work out there I'd want Thrust 2 as my company car

Ahem, er, yeah.. It's very rarely I do something like this so I don't mind as it makes a change from the day job I get well fed and there's plenty of beer, plus I'll cash in the favour at some point!
