One of those thoughts occured. As an example, most manufacturers have a general purpose, bog standard 6013 MMA electode, but they all seem to behave differently, and we all have our favourites. Is there as much difference with MIG wires? I`m not talking about flux or metal cored wires, just your general everyday stuff.
For a m/s wire i`ve only ever used weldabilty stuff, it`s what the most local supplier has, and i`ve never thought about it too much. I see Sparky uses Oerlikon, and i`m sure i`ve seen someone using Nexus wire, and another Lincoln. Are you using it purely because that`s what you have the easiest supply of, or because it has a preferable trait? I could go on with more questions, but i`ll stop there for now. Interested to hear your views.
