Just an update, i refilled at my usual texaco and the car seems okay now, the last top up was done at a texaco in an area i pass through on my commute and i was running on fumes so thought i'd best drop some in, never bought fuel from there and looking at the state of the fuel station.. i payed cash instead of my card if you know what i mean looked the area where my card could get skimmed, i bought £20 worth and quickly scarpered. The area has bad vibes , my guess is it was an iffy tainted batch or the dregs as the fuel pump was surging and being sporadic delivering the fuel, as if they where out of product. Going to do the fuel filter, cut it open and have a nosey.
