Ok a diesel mechanic I am not.
A little advice please I have a LDV Pilot fitted with a XUD9 n/a head gasket failed so stripped down finding a warpped head had it skimmed and refitted using a saver shim as 19thou was taken off. Now it won't start, I've cleaned the glow plugs and bleed the fuel system checking I had fuel out the glow plug holes, it has good vacuum at manifold and pressure at exhaust exit, flywheel, cam and pump were all pinned during strip and rebuild so in theory timing should be correct.
I'm out if ideas any suggestions are welcome.
