Problem is they don't seem to sell decent small blades for dremmels.A good die grinder is a mighty tool , but it needs good burrs , no point in trying to do anything with abrasives or grinding and using cheap and cheerful products , most of them are cheap for a reason.
i use a die grinder for roughing back to silver and digging out underseal and rust and all sorts mighty wee tool , but if you get cheap burrs you will wonder why on earth any one ever bothers with them as they are noisy dusty dirty and loud , but get one with a fresh sharp quality burr and its like the finger of god is at your disposal.
they do some interesting flap discs too , who do you get them from or is it just direct from PferdPferd ones for me. They do material-specific ones that when used properly, last a long time. They're hideously expensive though!
through work, who use a Stores supplier. They seem to be able to get the inox cut ones I specify for around £30/ea this year... usually the Stores supplier aren't very competitive but in this case I think they maybe are...they do some interesting flap discs too , who do you get them from or is it just direct from Pferd
ah , that explains things .Cheers for the replies I ordered some pferd ones. The ones I bought off eBay said they were for all metal but just read in the description that there for soft metals not steel.
i can endorse that ,she will be at ruffoth tomorrow probably and the prices are rightI get all my air die grinder and Dremmel size burrs from Jenny at JB Cutting Tools. Sensible prices and good tool life. Mostly use on steel.
