Hi, I ran my CK9 torch a little hot (about 135A) for about 4".
I knew it was naughty, lesson learnt and I'm very sorry.
Anyway, it started hissing on mejust as I finished my 4" bead.
Stripped it down, the o-ring had split and the white bung thing was warped.
Confident that would be it, I put it back together, but it's still hissing.
Blowing into the intake, it's quite restrictive when stripped (not sure this is normal).
It looks fine otherwise, but it's still hissing, and the puddle is unstable. Loos like a lack of gas, or turbulence, not sure. Reg and pressure is fine.
I know it's obvious I must have cooked my torch, but what exactly has failed? Does it collapse inside restricting the gas flow? Or do they leak.
I assumed that if I cooked my torch it would be obvious.
Just want to check before buying a new one that I'm not missing a trick.
Thanks
