Did anyone ever make a lathe for lefties?

As above, has there ever been a lathe produced with the headstock to the right as you stand in front of it?
Just wondering, I'm sure left handed people get along fine with regular lathes, I just don't think I've ever seen one like this.

Explain why think a lefthanded person would have a problem with the headstock to the left? can't really think it would be a problem since a lefthanded and righthanded person wouldn't have a problem bringing up the carriage to the stock.....just one of those things that falls into place on use.

This does create the slight danger of being wrapped around the chuck and sprayed around the room when you reach over it to use move the hand wheels.

You are not far out there, space was at a premium so a lathe was bolted vertically to a ships engine room bulkhead, I will try to find the article.
