Hi, following a workshop move my faithful Dialarc hf-e (serial 0000094817) has lost the ability to vary the current.
She doesn’t get a lot of use but is indispensable when the need arises.
I only ever use the pedal so initially suspected that but all tests fine. The knob on the front has no effect either.
Having removed the covers I found a circuit board attached to the panel dial with what appears a burned resistor. This I would assume is also a replacement as it’s dated march 2000. The pot tests fine and the only other thing that seemed wrong was a detached resistor down on the contactor (R9 in my diagram), whether that had happened as I removed the panels or beforehand I don’t know.
I’ve re tried to contact miller to no avail and their manuals don’t seem to cover a machine with a board (called pc1 on my diagram).
An electronics competent friend has offered to look at the board for me but if somebody was able to supply me either info/pictures of an undamaged board or better yet a place to buy a manual/test data that would obviously make life a lot easier!
