On the bay of fleas I've managed to buy the spray gun "with a slightly rusty trigger ' , can it be cleaned up a bit , I'm not a pro sprayer .

Was 30 quid posted so not the end of the world if its carp totally ....

Also came without a paint cup , any idea where to get one that fits ?

And how does the 3m system fit in .

    Regards

    Malc

    3m pps system.

    Uses an adapter, quarter turn,
Make sure you put the pot and cap in the plastic outer pot or they implode (dont ask)
Hold upside down to drain air out before painting as keeps a much more consistent flow.

Paint cup, (plastic cheap of ebay or amason)
Trigger just clean up with some scotch or sand paper.

Various different adaptors are available for various guns. Great system allows you to sprat at all angles even upside down but difficult to source cups etc in small quantities. Haven't looked recently but some sellers on ebay did them in smaller quantities.
There was another system Sata I think.

You can buy the triggers as spare parts but will probably cost what you paid for the gun!
Sand it off but get it as smooth as you can and give it a polish up afterwards otherwise it will snag/drag if you are wearing gloves and soon get annoying.
You might get away with putting a bit of tube or heat shrink over the finger part of it but make sure the hinge part moves freely or that will chew into the gun body and give you a permanently sloppy trigger
